Chateauneuf
The Rhone makes fantastic red wines. I had planned for it to be the next region we cover, but now we have found some fantastic Rhone style reds in the Roussillon, where they grow the same grape varieties.

Jean-Baptiste Trille’s Pedra Lluna is everything a Chateauneuf-du-Pape should be, (but sadly many aren’t.). Deep and dark, it is a huge wine with fantastic weight and depth of flavour.

If you are looking for a more spicy Rhone style wine try Jerome Collas  Maury Sec, A powerful wine with lovely sweet fruit characters derived from the Grenache grape. Or if you want something easy to drink on its own try his Pirouette or Tio Tio from Domaine Trilles.
